University of Idaho in-state undergraduate tuition and fees will freeze at their current levels for next year. The other public colleges and universities in Idaho — Idaho State University, Boise State University and Lewis-Clark State College — will also implement freezes.
Outsourcing firms will tour the University of Idaho campus this week as the university continues to look into outsourcing specific units in UI Facilities Services.
University of Idaho employees have the option to take voluntary unpaid leave, or furlough, between now and late spring of 2020. If all 2,458 of those eligible were to take five days of furlough, the university would save an estimated $3 million.
Idaho football should no longer get a pass for slipping through a season with less than stellar records. UI has new leadership and is well into the process of writing the next chapter of its story. Maybe it’s time for Idaho football to start doing the same.
