9:25 a.m. Business or License Problem: A man said he was selling books and apps. He mentioned the reporting party’s neighbors by name and asked the reporting party to step outside. The man left S Blaine Street on foot, although the reporting party did not know which direction he went. An officer responded and no report was taken.
12:07 p.m. Harassment: A neighbor on N Jefferson Street sprayed water into the window at the reporting party’s dog. Officers responded and no report was taken.
1:28 p.m. Suspicious Person/Circumstance: A man was seen selling books on Kenneth Street. The reporting party was concerned he was casing houses. An officer responded and no report was taken.
1:36 p.m. Disorderly Conduct: A man trying to purchase a firearm at Tri-State Outfitters the day before at about 6 p.m. was denied. He tore up paperwork and yelled at employees. There is video footage of the incident. An officer responded and no report was taken.
1:37 p.m. Suspicious Person/Circumstance: A person was seen selling books door-to-door on Kenneth Street. An officer responded and no report was taken.
3:00 p.m. Civil Calls: A reporting party stated as of last week, people at Mingles Bar and Grill were not wearing masks. An officer responded and delivered a verbal warning. No report was taken.
3:25 p.m. Vehicle Prowl: A woman noticed her wallet was missing and recently noticed a transaction on her bank account, so she believes it was stolen. She thinks the theft occurred the previous night. An officer responded and a report was taken.
3:50 p.m. Theft Other: Multiple subjects in the Vandal Store stole an iPad. Officers responded and a report was taken.
7:27 p.m. Civil Calls: A reporting party stated at least half a dozen people in Rosauers were not wearing masks and not complying with the city mandate. No report was taken.
9:27 p.m. Civil Calls: Two to three people were seen walking into Rosauers without masks. An officer advised and no report was taken.
Saturday, July 18
12:35 a.m. Stray Animals: A stray husky chased the reporting party near S Blaine Street and White Avenue. The reporting party stated it was not mean, but it wouldn’t leave her alone. An officer found the dog but was unable to catch it. No report was taken.
7:50 a.m. Animal Problem/Complaint: A woman found two dismembered cats on her property on N Asbury Street and is worried a large animal may be in the area. An officer responded and no report was taken.
9:53 a.m. Other Law Enforcement Calls: Staff and customers at both WinCo and Rosauers were seen not wearing masks. An officer responded and contacted both businesses. No report was taken.
10:11 a.m. Other Law Enforcement Calls: A woman stated many people at the farmers market were not wearing masks. She said she tried to ask them to wear masks and they refused. An officer contacted and no report was taken.
12:09 p.m. Vehicle Prowl: A diaper bag was taken out of an unlocked car at Panda Express within the last ten minutes. An officer responded and a report was taken.
12:36 p.m. Civil Calls: An employee at Taco Time was seen not wearing a mask. An officer responded and no report was taken.
12:54 p.m. Malicious Mischief: The reporting party stated his neighbor’s kids were writing on his vehicle on S Main Street. The reporting party has asked them to stop multiple times. An officer responded and no report was taken.
2:49 p.m. Other Law Enforcement Calls: All employees at Palouse Juice were not wearing masks, according to the report. An officer advised and a computer report was taken.
3:25 p.m. Other Law Enforcement Calls: Lots of cars were seen in the area of S Blaine Street and Harold Avenue. About 15 people were seen heading into a house with gifts and flowers while not wearing any masks. The reporting party did not know which house the people went into. An officer contacted and no report was taken.
9:45 p.m. Theft Other: Lighters and possibly other items were taken from Taj Grocery about an hour earlier. There is video footage of the theft. An officer responded and a report was taken.
11:40 p.m. Suspicious Person/Circumstance: A person reported hearing someone in their driveway on Mabelle Street about 45 minutes beforehand. They found broken glass when they went to check it out. An officer responded and no report was taken.
Sunday, July 19
2:27 p.m. Vehicle Prowl: A caller reported his wife’s car was sifted through on Lauder Avenue the previous night, although nothing important was taken. An officer responded and no report was taken.
5:14 p.m. Civil Calls: On W Pullman Road, 20-25 people were seen not wearing masks. The reporting party stated they appeared to be college-aged. An officer responded and no report was taken.
