Happy Monday, Vandals! Spring Break and midterm exams are over, so now it’s the home stretch toward finals and summer. It’s time to keep up your motivation and push through until the end of the semester! There are some fun events going on this week that you can check out and attend for a nice break from homework.

Make it at the MILL: Alcohol Ink Coasters (Wednesday, March 19)

Head over to the MILL in the library from 12:30-4 p.m. to enjoy some fun crafting. In this workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to experiment with alcohol inks on ceramic tiles to create abstract and vibrant designs. All materials will be provided, and this event is open to all students.

Dancers, Drummers, Dreamers (Thursday-Saturday, March 20-22)

Support UI’s dance department by attending their annual Dancers, Drummers, Dreamers event at the Hartung Theater from 7:30-9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, with an additional performance at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets range from $10-$16.50.

St. Patrick’s Day-themed dinner at The Lookout (Friday, March 21)

Enjoy a special one-night-only savory meal at The Lookout from 5-8 p.m. for a belated celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Mash and wine, beer, mocktails or cocktails and more will be served for $35 per person. Reservations are recommended, so call (208) 885-1274 to secure a spot.

Cruise the World (Sunday, March 23)

The annual Cruise the World event returns at the International and Vandal Ballrooms in the Pitman Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Celebrate cultural diversity and experience a vast array of food, performances and activities that engage in various cultures. Travel the world in one room! Admission is free to all, but food can only be purchased in cash.
