As the first meal of the day, breakfast can be intimidating. These banana bread oats take off some of the pressure. They’re easy, quick to prepare and make for a filling meal that will keep you content until lunchtime.
Ingredients
– ½ c. oats
– ½ c. mashed banana (about one banana)
– 2/3 c. yogurt*
– 1 tsp. cinnamon
– 1 tsp. brown sugar
– ½ tsp. baking powder
– Sprinkle of chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 390 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Spray a small baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Combine all ingredients into a dish. Make sure to spread the surface evenly. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top, if desired.
- Bake for around 25-30 minutes. Time will vary based on pan size. You will know it’s done when the surface is a nice golden brown and it doesn’t appear to be wet.
- Enjoy!
Notes:
*I used strawberry Greek yogurt because that’s what I had on hand, but feel free to experiment with different flavors!
– If the oats are a little bit dry, feel free to top with a syrup of your choice.
