Vandal Alert warns of sexual assault in Moscow

Alert asks anyone with information regarding the crime to contact Moscow Police Department

According to a Vandal Alert sent by text and email around 10 a.m. this morning, a sexual assault took place last night, Nov. 11, around 6 p.m. The assault occurred near Ghormley Park, which is located on 3rd Street and Home Street.  

“The reporting party said an unknown male forced the reporting party into an unknown vehicle and sexually assaulted them,” the Vandal Alert said. At this time, there is no further description known about the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle. 

Moscow Police Department is investigating the incident. The Vandal Alert asks anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Moscow Police Department at 208-882-COPS (2677). 

“The university is issuing this Timely Warning Notice to make sure you are aware of a potential threat, to aid in the prevention of similar crimes, to remind you of conduct that violates university policy, and to provide resources available to all student, faculty, and staff,” the Vandal Alert said.
