The family of Kaylee Goncalves has started a GoFundMe page to attend the hearings and trial of Bryan Kohberger in Boise. The page was created on Sept. 22 and has already raised more than $45,000 as of Sept. 28, with the final goal being $50,000.
The entire Goncalves family wants to attend trial, and the page is to help cover the costs of lost income, a rental home, food, transportation and anything else they might need during the three-month trial set to start in June 2025.
According to the GoFundMe description, “Kaylee‘s family has not missed one hearing or any court appointment since this has started and they would like to continue to attend all of them, even though it is now in Boise.”
The top donation was $5,000 and there have been more than 630 donations total.
Kohberger is accused of killing four University of Idaho students, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapin and Madison Mogen. On Sept. 12, the Idaho Supreme Court announced the trial would be moved from Latah County to Ada County and Kohberger has been relocated to Ada County Jail.
