Tuesday, Aug. 27
Film: Decision to Leave (Park Chan-wook, 2022)
Renowned director Park Chan-wook’s latest film, “Decision to Leave,” is a neo-noir mystery set along the rocky shores of southern South Korea. The story follows a detective grappling with romantic feelings for the prime murder suspect. The film will begin at 7 p.m. at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre at 508 S. Main St. Admission is free as part of the Habib Institute for Asian Studies’ AsiaPOP! The Korean Wave symposium. Laughter Yoga: 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
A yoga session will be held on the Administration Lawn, featuring breathing techniques and laughing with light motion. It is to help promote the many well-being benefits and connections laughing provides, giving laugher a purpose. All activity levels and abilities are welcome.
Open Kayak Pool Sessions: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The University of Idaho’s Outdoor Program is hosting their first open kayak pool session of the fall. All equipment is included in the $10 cost. Hit the Book(s) Club Discussion Meeting: 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
If you are someone who loves to read outside of class and enjoys talking about books with others, this is the club for you! Hit the Book(s) Club is the library’s book club for students, where the members decide what to read next. This is the first officially scheduled meeting of the club, so visit here to learn more about the membership and how to join.
Screen on the Green: Wayne’s World: 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Screen on the Green is an event that takes place on the Tower Lawn off Paradise Creek Street every Thursday. Patrons are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets and snacks to create their own cozy environment. This week, the featured presentation is “Wayne’s World,” a movie about a producer that wants to take the public access “Wayne’s World” to the world of commercial television. Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey) battle to save their show and Wayne’s girlfriend. For more information on this screening and future screenings, visit here.

Biological Sciences Seminar: Christine Parent, University of Idaho: 3:30 p.m. to 4:20 p.m.
Located in Life Sciences South Room 277 on campus, Dr. Parent will present “In & Out the Escargatoire.” The research conducted in the Parent lab focuses on the evolutionary process of variety in species when they encounter new environments. For more information on their research, visit here.
Saturday, Aug. 31
As for this week, all volleyball and football events are held at away locations. Vandal Volleyball vs. Southern Illinois University will be held 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Vandal Volleyball vs. UT Chattanooga 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the Vandal football game will be in Eugene, Oregon 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Here are the links to volleyball and football schedules for the rest of the season.
