“Love and Baseball” performing now

Idaho Repertory Theatre will be presenting the play “Love and Baseball,” a romance written by Jerry Montoya.  

Idaho Repertory Theatre is the professional theatre that takes residence at the University of Idaho for the summer. 

“Love and Baseball” will be performed six times at the Forge Theater, 404 Sweet Avenue. The times are: 7:30 p.m. on July 26; 7:30 p.m. on July 27; 2 p.m. on July 28; 7:30 p.m. on August 2; 7:30 p.m. on August 3; and 2 p.m. on August 4. 

This play will explore themes of honesty, pain and passion displayed by the relationship of the characters of Will and Michele.  

Will is a struggling filmmaker and Michele is a philosophy teacher, who will be played by Anthony Kirby and Emma Blonda, respectively. Their story will capture the power of connection while maintaining an honest take on love. 

“The two characters… are so close to perfection together,” director Randy Reinholz told the university in a press release. “During the action, we watch possibility become power, building to the moment of truth.” 

Tickets are on sale now at https://www.uitickets.com/, are free for UI students and cost between $6 and $26 for the public.
