Everyone loves their grandma’s homemade cookies and there’s never anything quite as warm, gooey, and delicious as them. This recipe is a creative spin of grandma’s traditional cookies! It’s great for parties, or even just a fun recipe to try out with your friends and family. It has all the same wonderful and tasty qualities as a typical cookie, so it won’t disappoint!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 large pack of chocolate chips
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups flour
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Cream together 1 cup (or 2 sticks) butter, 1 cup sugar, and ½ cup brown sugar until smooth with no pockets of butter.
- Add in 2 tablespoons vanilla extract and 2 eggs. Beat together well.
- Note: these are your “wet ingredients.”
- Put 3 cups flour, ½ teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon baking soda into a separate bowl. Sift these so that there are no clumps.
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients either by hand or with a mixer.
- Stir in the chocolate chips once your wet and dry ingredients are fully mixed.
- Note: the mixture should become a dough-like consistency that you can easily roll into shapes.
- Spray your mugs with non-stick cooking spray or oil them.
- Pack some cookie dough into your mugs until they’re about ¾ full. Pack the dough tightly into the mugs when you’re done filling them.
- Bake for 30 minutes, then check them.
- Note: the cooking time will vary based on the size of the mug you use. Check them often until they’re golden brown around the center.
- Once they’re done cooking, let them cool for about 15 minutes so they can set.
- Serve plain or with cream or ice cream and enjoy!
