In the Latah County Primary Election, held on May 21, participants were able to vote on US representatives, state senators and representatives, county commissioners, the County Sheriff, the County Prosecuting Attorney, judicial positions, school levies, and committeeman of each party.
Latah County had 34 total reporting voting precincts.
There was a total of 5,795 ballots cast.
Each voting party only had one candidate for the US Representative position, by Russ Fulcher (Republican) led the voting tally with 3,278 votes.
Dan Foreman was elected as the Republican State Senator of District 6, with 54.52% of the vote.
For the Republican State Representative District 6 Seat A, Lori McCann was elected, winning by 221 votes.
Richie Skiles (Republican) had 100% of the votes for County Sheriff, and W.W. “Bill” Thompson (Democratic) had 100% of the votes for County Prosecuting Attorney.
Each judicial position was uncontested, with G. Richard Bevan, David W. Gratton, and Jessica Marie Lorello all reelected.
The levies for Genessee, Potlatch, Troy, and Whitepine Joint school districts all passed in favor, the purpose of which was to approximate and allocate funds for staff, extracurricular activities, technology, and other programs.
All Democratic Precinct Committeeman positions had only one candidate each.
For the Republican Committeeman for Precinct Moscow 3, Cody Barr was elected with 57.81% of the vote, and Shane Anderson was voted the Republican Committeeman for Precinct Moscow 12, winning with 63.25% of the vote. Matt Ivers was elected as Republican Committeeman of Precinct Moscow 16, Cindy Agidius was elected as Republican Committeeman of Precinct Moscow 17, and the elected Republican Committeeman of Precinct Viola 30 was Josh Buessing, winning with only 50.88%.
