What’s happening at the UI this week?

With only three weeks left of the semester, stress might be at an all-time high. Take a break from the end of semester scaries this week by spending some time outside in the sun and participating in some of the exciting activities and events happening on campus this week! 

Finals Fest 

On Tuesday, Vandal Entertainment is hosting Finals Fest featuring Fleet Foxes and Desolation Horse starting at 7:30 p.m. in the ICCU Arena. To see the Grammy-nominated Indie band and Moscow’s own Desolation Horse, tickets can be purchased online, and all of this year’s proceeds will go to the Vandal Healing Garden and Memorial.  

“Orlando” 

The Theater department’s newest show “Orlando” is opening this Thursday with a performance in the Forge Theater from 7:30-9:15 p.m. This exciting adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s classic novel will also have shows on Friday and Saturday from 7:30-9:15 p.m. and Sunday from 2-3:35 p.m. Tickets are free for UI students and can be found here

Kino Film Festival 

On Friday, students and community members are invited to attend the 24th annual Kino Short Film Festival from 6:30-9 p.m. at the Kenworthy. Attendees can see short films from filmmakers across the Northwest, including UI students. Attendance is free at the door on a first come first serve basis, and more information can be found here.  

Arbor Day Tree Climb 

Celebrate Arbor Day this Friday by participating in a tree climb anytime from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on the Admin Lawn. This accessible, guided tree climbing event is free and fun for everyone and is a great way to celebrate the beautiful trees on the UI campus. 

Vandal Athletics 

The Vandal Football Spring Game is happening this Friday from 6-9 p.m. in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome. Students can end the semester right by cheering on Vandal football. 

Vandal Women’s soccer will be competing against Gonzaga this Saturday starting at 2 p.m. in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.
