Do you want the tastiness of chicken nuggets, but you don’t want to prep chicken? Or perhaps you’re vegetarian and don’t eat meat entirely? Well, this recipe is perfect for a simple, crunchy chicken nugget dupe!
Ingredients:
- 1 can of Loma Linda Tender Bits, drained (or another plant-based grain protein)
- ½ cup flour
- 1 tablespoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- ½ tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Johnny’s seasoning salt
- ½ teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Ruth Anne’s seasoning
- Oil
Directions:
- Combine flour and spices in a gallon sized Ziploc bag.
- Drain the Tender Bits and dump them into the bag. Shake well or until evenly coated.
- Coat the bottom of a pan with oil, enough to shallow fry them.
- Fry both sides until golden brown.
- Pat them dry and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
