The University of Idaho’s Margaret Ritchie School of Family and Consumer Sciences’ Apparel, Textiles & Design program is hosting its annual Senior Showcase at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce from April 29 – May 10. This event will feature nine designers’ collections that reflect their work in the program.
Each year, seniors in the ATD program showcase their research, designs and engineered products for their senior projects. The venue will include displays, the concept boards, and describes their process for the public to view for two weeks from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event is also a chance for people to learn more about how garments and textiles are developed, and to have an insider look at the industry.
The designers will be present on the final showcase day on Friday, May 10 from 5-7 p.m. The closing reception acts as a networking opportunity for attendees and senior celebration, while also allowing an opportunity for designers to answer questions about their collections. Complimentary food and drinks will be provided.
The collections include a wide range of innovative ideas by designers from various backgrounds. Collections include men’s and women’s sportwear, outdoor wear, night wear and an adaptive line for disabilities.
Updates will be posted leading up to the event on Instagram @idahoatd and Facebook at University of Idaho Apparel, Textiles and Design.
