A fourth arrest has been made in the Boise hospital shooting and fugitive escape incident last week.
27-year-old Tia Garcia of Twin Falls, Idaho, has been arrested for aiding and abetting escape.
According to a Boise Police Department press release, the BPD and Ada County Prosecutors’ Office worked together to charge the additional suspect in relation to the shooting investigation. Garcia was already in custody at the Twin Falls Jail following her arrest on March 21 for a violation of her parole.
Garcia now faces an additional charge related to her involvement in the escape of Skylar Meade and has been booked into the Ada County Jail.
Evidence has indicated that Garcia had knowledge and was involved in the planning and execution of the escape.
The Ada County Critical Incident Task Force is also investigating the officer-involved shooting portion of this incident. The involved officer was W. Anderson, and has 27 years of law enforcement experience, with 12 years at the Boise Police Department.
Further information on body camera footage and specific details will be released in its entirety after the investigation is complete.
