Crumbs: Easy Udon Noodles 

A great substitute for ramen that’s just as easy to make!

Are you getting a bit tired of ramen, but you’re still craving some noodles? This udon noodles recipe is for you! It’s just as simple as ramen is to make, and it’s super delicious too. The best part of this recipe is that you can customize the ingredients to your liking and make it taste even more delectable! 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 1/3 cups of water 
  • Fortune Udon noodles package 
  • Vegetables (this is optional) 
  • Ex: carrots, mushrooms, edamame, green onion, etc. 
  • Meat (this is optional) 
  • Ex: fish, shrimp, chicken, etc. 
  • Add anything else you want to customize it to your cravings. 

Directions: 

  • There are many ways you can cook this recipe including in the microwave, on a stovetop, or stir frying it. 
  • For the microwave
  1. In a microwave safe bowl, add Fortune Udon noodles and soup base to 1 1/3 cups of water. 
  1. Place in the microwave, covering the bowl with microwave safe kitchen wrap. 
  1. If you want to add any additional ingredients listed above, chop them up now and add before you microwave if you want them to be softer. Add after microwaving if you want them to be crunchier. 
  1. Cook on high for 3 minutes. 
  1. Let cool and carefully remove the kitchen wrap. 
  1. Enjoy! 
  • On a stovetop:  
  1. Bring 1 1/3 cups of water to a boil. 
  1. Add Fortune Udon noodles and soup base. 
  1. If you want to add any additional ingredients listed above, chop them up now and add them. 
  • If you want them to be softer, add now. If you want them to be crunchier, add them 1 minute before you serve, or when you serve. 
  1. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
  1. Serve and enjoy! 
  • Stir frying:  
  1. Place Fortune Udon noodles in the microwave for 1 minute or rinse noodles under hot water. 
  1. Stir fry your chosen vegetables/additional ingredients in a skillet for 1 minute. 
  1. Add the noodles, sauce packet, and 1/3 cup water. 
  1. Continue to stir fry for 1-2 minutes. 
  1. Serve and enjoy!
