Crumbs: Chocolate-covered strawberries

Easy dessert, perfect for Valentines Day!

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, which means it’s time for chocolate-covered strawberries! They’re both easy to make and a fun experience to share with your friends and loved ones. Chocolate-covered strawberries are a classic of Valentine’s Day and a great gift to show your love!

Ingredients:

  • Milk, semi-sweet, bittersweet or dark chocolate
  • Whole strawberries
  • Milk (optional)
  • Sprinkles or decorations (optional)

Directions:

  1. Break the chocolate into small pieces and put in a microwave-safe bowl or cup.
  1. Add a dash of milk (optional).
  1. Microwave at 15 to 20-second intervals until fully melted.
  1. Wash your strawberries.
  1. Dry them VERY thoroughly—the chocolate will not stick if the strawberries are wet at all.
  1. Dip most of a strawberry into the chocolate, leaving enough space at the top to hold it.
  1. Repeat until all strawberries are coated with chocolate. You can add some sprinkles here for decoration.
  1. Place them on parchment paper or a plate/pan and chill in the fridge or freezer until the chocolate is solid.
  1. Serve and enjoy!
