In a recent press release, the University of Idaho announced that it will be hosting Idaho’s sixth statewide Three Minute Thesis competition on Tuesday, February 6th at the College of Southern Idaho.

Using only one slide for support, 12 graduate students will be given only three minutes to present their research projects in front of a live audience. The event will also be livestreamed over Zoom, which will begin at 1 p.m. PST.

Four of the students presenting— Hala Zahalqa, Yoram Terleth, Alexandra Pace, and Abigail Rode—are from UI, with the other eight graduate students representing either Idaho State University or Boise State University.

A panel made up of five judges will select the top three presentations which will be awarded a cash prize and advance to the regional competition in March. Additionally, one of the students will be honored with the People’s Choice Award following an audience vote.
