The start of the new year welcomes a new team to ASUI. With returning members ready to go and new members ready to bring ideas, ASUI is set to jump into the semester.

President McClain shares some important updates on projects he has been a part of that will be beneficial to the University.

Coming soon, the university will go from using Vandal Web to using a new program called My UI. President McClain is working hard to make information as easy as possible for students.

He also discussed how applications to be a senator or cabinet member for ASUI are still open until next week. If you are interested, fill out an application before it is too late.

The last order of business President McClain talked about was the Winter Social coming up on Feb. 21 from 6-7 pm.

The first and only order of business on the floor was Senate Bill S24-B01. Authored by Vice President Loffer, Sponsored by Pro-Tempor Scrupps.

This bill’s purpose is to approve and establish the current members for the Associated Students of the University of Idaho Senate.

This bill affects Pro Tempor Scrupps, Senator Anya Zuercher Senator Luella Smith, Senator Mason Stampfli, Senator Palak Pandey, Senator Jack Schneider, Senator Kaylee McCulloch, Senator Johnathan Morton, Senator Mason Rossi, and Senator Zoha Aqeel.

All of them are current senators for ASUI. This bill was passed with a unanimous answer from the senators.
