The Idaho women’s golf team tied with Eastern Washington University to place sixth at the Big Sky 54 for IX Tournament. The Vandals finished the two-day match with a score of 881.
The tournament took place at TalonsCove Golf Club in Saratoga Springs, Utah. Two rounds were played on Sept. 25 and the third was played on Sept. 26.
The Vandals were 17 over par through all three rounds, 34 strokes higher than the winning Sacramento State Hornets.
Yvonne Vinceri, who competed as an individual, was part of a four-way tie for 14th place. She finished with an even par and total of 216.
Another tie included two Idaho players. Emma Heyman and Emma Kang scored 221 to place in a six-way tie for 25th place. They were five over par through the tournament.
Idaho’s next event is the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invite hosted by Seattle U in Lakewood, Washington from Oct. 2 – 3. The Vandals will play close to home on Oct. 9 – 10 when they take part in the Eagle Invitational in Spokane.
