This week marks the start of fall, and the University of Idaho is in full swing with fun fall festivities for Vandal students and the Moscow community to enjoy! Don’t miss out on these exciting opportunities and events happening on campus this week.
Campus Safety Keynote
This Tuesday from 7 – 8:30 p.m. in the Pitman Center International Ballroom, the UI community can gather to hear a campus safety keynote as part of Katie Benoit Safety Month. Presented by the Violence Prevention Program and the Women’s Center, this year’s keynote speaker is Jennifer Landhuis from the Stalking Prevention, Awareness, and Resource Center. Her presentation titled, Stalking Demystified, will be an educational and important experience for all attendees.
Professional Photos
With the career fair coming up on Oct. 4, now is the perfect time for students to update their professional photo. This Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the ISUB Vandal Lounge, students can get a professional photo taken free of charge.
Dance Theater Performance
Vandal students and the Moscow community alike can enjoy a Repertory Dance Theater Performance this Friday from 7:30 – 9 p.m. in the Hartung Theater. This professional modern dance company will be gracing the Moscow stage along with UI dance students who will spend the week learning from the company’s choreographer and perform alongside them forthe show. Tickets cost $25 for adults and $10 for students and seniors and can be purchased online.
Harvest Days
Celebrate the start of fall this Thursday with the annual Harvest Days on the UI campus. From 4 p.m. to dusk in the ISUB Plaza, students can come to enjoy free music, food, games and entertainment. Presented by CALS, Housing and Residence Life, Idaho Eats and the Department of Student Involvement, this will be a night of fall fun students won’t want to miss.
Vandal Athletics
This Wednesday, Vandal Women’s Soccer will be competing against Weber State starting at 7 p.m. in the Kibbie Dome.
Vandal Volleyball will be facing off against Montana State at 6 p.m. in the Memorial Gym this Thursday.
On Saturday the first home football game will be happening in the PIFCU Kibbie Dome against Sacramento State starting at 1 p.m. Come out to support UI athletes and cheer on our Vandals this week!
