At a court hearing on Tuesday, Bryan Kohberger’s defense Anne Taylor asked the prosecution to hand over three different pieces of evidence following her motion of discovery made on May 22. The pieces of evidence include three police officers’ training records (with two of those being ISP officers), an FBI examiner’s report, and an FBI forensic examiner’s report.

The defense explained that the evidence is of “The utmost importance” and is crucial to them. The prosecution has been cooperative with the defense about sharing evidence, but the defense does not have the FBI examiner’s report nor the forensic examiner’s report as of right now, but they have a deadline of July 14th to obtain and hand over these reports.

The prosecution argued that the defense did not need the training records of the three officers because the three officer’s training records shouldn’t have any information relevant to the case. The defense argued that they need the training records to understand the process of how these officers conducted their investigation.

Judge John Judge has not made a final decision yet but will have a written decision soon. Kohberger’s next public appearance is scheduled for Oct. 2 for his trial date.
