As graduation approaches and the academic year comes to an end, The Argonaut published its final paper of the semester with much more to come for its one-hundred-twenty-fifth year.

Incoming Argonaut editor-in-chief

The Argonaut has welcomed junior Joanna Hayes to begin leading the newsroom this May.

Majoring in journalism, Hayes comes into the position with experience working as a reporter at the Post Register in Idaho Falls.

At John Brown University’s student newspaper, The Threefold Advocate, Hayes led a team as the sports editor. She has also previously written for the Arg as a LIFE and news reporter.

“I love to hear people’s stories. I love to write. Journalism is a unique way to combine both of those passions,” Hayes wrote. “It’s a way I can learn from those around me and get those important stories to a wider audience.”

Hayes is in the process of hiring next year’s Argonaut staff.

Student Media managers

The current managers are wrapping up their terms, and the following successors have also begun planning for the fall

Blot Editor-in-Chief Gia Mazzarella

KUOI Station Manager Mark Warren

UAA Advertising Manager Martha Smith

Congratulations! We hope that each of them makes the most of this unique opportunity to run their own publication and shine.
