The Faculty Senate approved changes to the Faculty Staff Handbook on April 25. This was the final meeting which Faculty Senate chair Kelly Quinnet presided over.
The approved FSH 1640 changes removed non-existent committees and clarified who is named in the directory.
The fiscal emergency, shared leave and the multi-campus communication committees were all removed.
Voting on proposed changes to FSH 1620 that dealt with university-level committees was delayed. These changes would have clarified that voting privileges and committee membership are open to all faculty and board-appointed staff.
Voting was delayed because the proposed revisions still left many questions for the senators. The changes were sent back to committee on committees for revision.
