In a packed courtroom filled with reporters and police officers, a hearing was held to set a date for a preliminary hearing for murder suspect Bryan Kohberger.
Taking five minutes, Judge Megan Marshall heard from Kohberger’s attorney and the county prosecutors to set the preliminary hearing for June 26 through June 30. The reason for the five-day gap is to have enough time to present evidence.
Under counsel from his public defenders, Kohberger waived his right to a speedy trial within 14 days of his first court appearance in Moscow.
