On the day of the homecoming game, the University of Idaho puts on a parade through downtown Moscow. Many families of students, and residents of Moscow, came to watch the parade and see the floats. Local and nearby schools also took part in the parade to showcase their school pride.

As the sun began to lower, students, alumni and families enjoyed the festivities before the game. A concert by alumni Colby Acuff was the main feature of the tailgate. Tailgaters enjoyed time together either at their alma mater or current insitution. Drinks, food and games while waiting till the sunset to head into the Kibbie Dome.

At Kickoff, the Vandal football team led the charge scoring the first touchdown of the game, as over 10,000 people gathered in the stadium. As the game progressed, alumni were given a chance to see what the new coach had to offer. The Vandals won the game 55-35, making it the first time since 2009 that UI has won back-to-back confrence games.
