Dead week is upon us, and as students work on last minute assignments and prepare for final exams, there are some great on-campus opportunities to have fun and relieve some tension during this stressful time.
With Spring semester coming to a close, there are many students only weeks away from graduation. To make sure they graduate with their own unique style and personality, the MILL at the Library has a fun opportunity to get creative. This week’s ‘Make it at the MILL’ is decorating graduation caps, those graduating this semester can stop by from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 on Thursday May 5.
Anyone can blow off some steam this week with an exciting event put on by the Student Rec center, the 5k or 2k ‘Dash After Dark’, happening Wednesday May 5. This fun run is for everyone age 18 and older, and it is a great way to relieve some tension and get active before finals begin. The event begins at 9 p.m., and more information as well as the link to register can be found here.
Lastly, this Saturday May 7, students who are beginning to pack up and get ready to leave have an opportunity to dispose of unwanted items sustainably. The Sustainability Center’s ‘Drop, Swap, and Go’ event is the perfect way to donate any extra items or things you are not able to take home when the semester ends. Students can bring furniture, clothing, items, and food to the Theophilus Tower Lawn from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
