It looks like the return of winter has come to Moscow this week, but that doesn’t mean Vandal students have to miss out on any of the exciting spring activities and events coming up.
To start off, Wednesday April 13, UI students searching for work opportunities can make connections and meet employers at the On-Campus Job fair. From 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the ISUB Clearwater-Whitewater room, on campus employers will be available to meet students and discuss opportunities for work-study, undergrad research, and internships for the following school year. This is a casual drop-in event, so students can stop by and come prepared with a resume and lots of questions.
Saturday, April 16, students that are part of the LGBTQ+ community can attend the Queer Prom hosted by the UI Gender and Sexuality Alliance Club. This night of fun will start at 5:30 p.m. and will be held at the Pitman Center Vandal Ballroom. Tickets are $7 and need to be bought in advance, you can get your tickets online, and don’t forget to wear a mask.
Also, this weekend is the Women’s Programming River Canyon Backpack Trip on Saturday April 16 and Sunday April 17. Join the Outdoor Center for this exciting trip exploring the Wenaha River in Oregon. The cost for the trip is $40 and interested students can stop by the Outdoor Centre to sign up.
