The weather outside may be looking gloomy, but that doesn’t mean your week has to be. There are so many exciting events and activities happening this week to get Vandal students out of the rain and having some fun.
To start off the week on a bright note, on Tuesday, April 5 there is a musical performance in Admin Auditorium. The Los Angeles Guitar Quartet will be performing from 7:30 – 8 pm, and this Grammy winning group is sure to be a treat. Tickets are $10, and you can find more information and buy your tickets here.
Students can have fun and make a difference this Friday April 8 at the Women’s Center with ‘Friday Crafternoons’. In acknowledgement of Sexual Assault Awareness month, students can come to make paracord survival bracelets and write letters to assault survivors from 12 – 2 p.m. Students can come out and voice their support for survivors and enjoy a pizza lunch during this fun and meaningful event.
This Saturday, April 10 is packed with exciting outdoor activities for students to choose from. The Sustainability center is putting on a event called ‘Get Rooted’ from 9am – 12pm, where students can go out and plant native trees and shrubs at the Idler’s Rest Nature Reserve in cooperation with Palouse Land Trust. This is a great opportunity for students to get out and make a difference for their community and the environment, and you can register here.
The Outdoor Center is hosting another opportunity to get outside and learn new skills this Saturday with the Fly-Fishing Basics Outing. Students can sign up here for this outing to the St. Joe River to learn how to fly fish and spend a fun day on the river. Cost is $150 for students and $175 for all others, and this cost includes equipment, instruction, and transportation.
