Although the forecast might be a little chilly this week, there are lot of fun events and activities to brighten up the day for UI students. From sports, to games, to celebrations of culture – there’s something for everyone coming up this week.
Tuesday is a big day, with the grand opening of ‘Black History at U of I’ exhibit in the library. From 12 p.m. -1 p.m. come and see the brand-new exhibit put together by the Black History Research and Library, celebrating the legacy of Black students at the University. Listen to speakers and view this exhibit for the first time, and afterwards there will be an African American read in from 1pm to 3pm also in the library.
Also at the library this week, students can drop in for Third Thursday Board Games from 2-4 p.m. and play board games from the library with friends.
And the fun on Thursday continues with ‘Glow Games Night’ hosted by Vandal Entertainment from 7-9pm. Stop by the ASUI ISUB Student Lounge for some arcade games, video games, glowsticks, a VR headset, prizes, and more fun!
Lastly, everyone can show up to support their vandal athletes this week with two home Men’s basketball games. They take on the University of Montana on Thursday the 17th in the Idaho Central Credit Union Arena starting at 6 p.m. They also play on Saturday the 19th against Eastern Washington University in the ICCU Arena at 3:30.
