ASUI rejects call for the removal of UI’s mask mandate

In a long four-hour meeting, UI students debated the need for a continuing mask mandate on campus. Those supporting the removal of the mandate hoisted “my body my choice” in support of bodily autonomy. Some students believed the mask mandate targeted Greek members unfairly.

With the election just around the corner, candidates discussed their stances on COVID-19 during the forum. The crowd of attending students was largely unmasked.
