Associated Students University of Idaho elections began Monday, with candidates running for executive and legislative positions.
Students can vote using a link sent to their Vandal Mail before polling closes at 5 p.m. Wednesday. The link includes photos of the candidates and a small description of their platforms.
“In addition to providing funding to more than 200 student organizations, ASUI helps Vandals of all disciplines be engaged leaders to craft a brighter future for Idaho and beyond,” according to ASUI’s mission statement.
Current ASUI Vice President Joseph Garrett is running for president alongside current Chief of Staff Julie Attinger. The pair is opposed by former ASUI Sen. Kallyn Mai and her running mate, current Director of Legislative Affairs Katelyn Hettinga.
In addition to the executive candidates, students can vote for up to six senators to represent the student body.
The Vandal Student Lounge is providing “I voted” stickers to those who drop by with a screenshot of their final voting screen.
More information about the elections can be found on ASUI’s website.
