Feeling bored and are wondering what things are going on this week? Stay up to date on current events and view things to attend in your free time. Here are the best happenings this week. Remember, when going out to in-person events, wear a mask and social distance to keep yourself and others safe.  

Drag Bingo  

Time: 6—8 p.m.  

Date: April 12  

Place: CUB Senior Ballroom  

Price: Free   

Sit down and relax playing a game of bingo. The event will be in-person and will go on for 10 rounds. Winners have a chance to win prizes along with the thrill of the game. Players will be able to meet local drag performers during bingo.

Trivia Night at The Plant   

Time: 7 p.m.  

Date: April 12  

Place: The Plant Bar and Grill   

Price: Free   

Join The Plant and show your skills at trivia. The event will be hosted by MFKN NICO and will begin their weekly Monday trivia night. During the event teams will go against each other, showing their knowledge in Pixar, Killers, Rick and Morty and “I Wish I Didn’t Know.” Players can form teams of four and the winning team gets a $20 tab for the night. Players must be at least 21-years-old and must wear a mask.  

Drop-in Mindfulness with Jamie Derrick  

Time: 12—12:20 p.m.  

Date: April 14  

Place: Online Event   

Price: Free   

Homework, projects and life can get in the way. Take the time to relax and ground yourself. Join the 20-minute mindfulness practice and ground yourself before returning to a demanding week. The drop-in is available to anyone, and no meditation experience is necessary. Embark on a mindful journey and connect with your body.

Mountain Bike Ride   

Time: 4—7:30 p.m.  

Date: April 15  

Place: Student Recreation Center   

Price: Free   

Enjoy the spring weather by going on a mountain bike ride with fellow university members. Riders must provide their own bike and transportation, and their bike must be in good riding condition. They must also have a helmet and lights on the front and back of the bike for safety measures. Registration is required before the group leaves.

Parent and Family Weekend Virtual Escape Room: The Cave   

Time: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.  

Date: April 16—18  

Place: Online Event   

Price: Free   

Put your thinking caps on and grab a couple of friends and family to play a virtual escape room. Players will be put into teams between four to six players and the goal is to figure out a mystery at the end of the episode. During the escape room, each team will work as agents of the Artifacts Bureau, looking for lost artifacts to be turned over to the National Museum. Step into your character and start solving mysteries.
