Crumbs: Black Bean and Pesto Mayo Burger with Goat Cheese

Are you a broke college student or a gourmet chef? The term “pesto mayo” might just make you both.

If you’ve been keeping up with these recipes, you may have noticed a theme: Pesto. It’s quite the versatile cooking tool, and conveniently cheap, not to mention delicious. So, why not add it to your burger? 

Prep time: 20 minutes 

Servings: 1 

Ingredients:   

One frozen black bean burger 

One hamburger bun 

Three tablespoons of plain goat cheese 

One tablespoon of mayo 

One tablespoon of pesto  

Directions:  

  1. Place burger in an oil coated pan on medium heat. 
  1. Cook, frequently flipping each side, for 7 to 10 minutes until outside is slightly crispy.  
  1. Mix mayo and pesto. 
  1. Spread pesto mayo on bottom bun. 
  1. Place burger on top, add goat cheese, add the top bun and enjoy.
