Feeling bored and are wondering what things are going on this week? Stay up to date on current events and view things to attend in your free time. Here are the best happenings this week. Remember, when going out to in-person events, wear a mask and social distance to keep yourself and others safe.  

Black History Month Library Display: The Future of Black History   

Time: Any  

Date: March 7-10   

Place: University of Idaho Library   

Price: Free   

Check out “The Future of Black History” before you miss it. This is the last week that this will be displayed in the library. See the hard work of students in the Black Student Union and the Office of Multicultural Affairs and celebrate the history of African Americans. Appreciate Black History Month and stay educated on other’s past.  

Artists with a History   

Time: 12—4 p.m.  

Date: March 7-20  

Place: Artisans at the Dahmen Barn   

Price: Free   

Drive down to Uniontown and visit the new exhibit at the Dahmen Barn. Artists Barney Saneholtz, Peggy Conrad and Bobbi Kelly will be showing watercolor and pastel paintings. Their work will be displayed throughout March and is available to anyone free of charge. Masks and social distancing are required at the Barn to comply with Washington’s COVID-19 procedures.  

St. Paddy’s Scavenger Hunt   

Time: Any   

Date: March 8-19  

Place: Moscow campus   

Price: Free   

Grab some friends and go on adventures throughout the week. Vandal Entertainment will be hosting a scavenger hunt based on the upcoming holiday, St. Patrick’s Day. Prizes will be awarded to teams who complete the hunt with the most points. Drop-in Mindfulness with Jamie Derrick  

Time: 12—12:20 p.m.  

Date: March 9  

Place: Online Event   

Price: Free   

It’s midterm week and life could not feel more intense. Pop in for 20 minutes and relax from daily life stressors. The drop-in is available to anyone, and no meditation experience is necessary. Embark on a mindful journey and connect with your body and mind.

The Body Project   

Time: 5:30—6:30 p.m.  

Date: March 9  

Place: Online event   

Price: Free   

We are our worst critique, which takes a toll on our self-image and confidence. At the body project, the four-week series will give people the resources to love their bodies, challenge stigmas and become an advocate for themselves. This event is the second, part of their four workshops. Prioritize self-care and learn about positive self-image.
