Who would have thought that tuna would be good in fried rice? Well, this is a dish you will just have to try for yourself to find out. Adding fish to this simple dish will add umami and savory flavors one could dream about.
Prep time: 30 minutes
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients:
1 cup uncooked rice
2 cups water
1 tbs salt
1 tsp pepper
2 cans tuna
1 tbs soy sauce
2 tbs vegetable oil
1 yellow onion
1 carrot
2 stocks of celery
3 stocks of chives
1 button mushroom
2 eggs
Directions:
- Add rice and water to the stovetop or in a rice cooker and cook for 17 minutes.
- Chop vegetables finely and mix in a bowl with salt.
- In a medium saucepan sauté vegetables until tender.
- Incorporate rice into the pan and mix until well combined.
- Move rice mixture to one side of the pan and scramble eggs.
- Mix everything together and add soy sauce for taste.
- Serve hot or store in the fridge for three days.
