Moscow, Pullman and other areas of the Palouse may see three to five inches of snow this weekend, according to an urgent winter weather message from the U.S. National Weather Service.
The storm, arriving early in the season, is expected to last from Friday afternoon through late Friday night.
Travel could be difficult Friday evening as heavy, wet snow can lead to broken tree limbs and power outages, the warning stated. Precipitation may start out as rain or a mix of rain and snow in the afternoon switching to snow in the evening hours.
Cities listed on the warning include: Moscow, Plummer, Potlatch, Genesee, Pullman, Colfax, Rosalia, Oakesdale, Tekoa and Uniontown.
The latest updates and warnings on hazardous weather conditions can be found on the service’s website.
