9:17 a.m. Fraud: A caller reported someone who had previously called and scammed them for thousands of dollars has called again to blackmail them. Officers responded but no report was taken.
9:36 a.m. Vehicle Prowl: A caller reported their car had been broken into overnight on E Sixth Street. Officers responded and a report was filed.
10:31 a.m. Theft Other: An individual reported their bicycle was stolen from the Moscow Food Co-op sometime Tuesday or Wednesday night. Officers were contacted and no report was filed.
12:46 p.m. Threatening: An individual called to report their neighbor was threatening to kill their chickens. An officer responded and no report was filed.
2:01 p.m. Theft Other: An employee was reported to have stolen and committed fraud at Taj Grocery a few days before the report was called in. The employee was not working at the time of the report. Officers responded and filed a report.
2:05 p.m. Accident Hit and Run: A semi hit power lines on N Adams Street and fled the scene. The wires were hanging, according to the report. Both the fire department and law enforcement responded. A report was filed.
4:08 p.m. Accident Unknown Injury: An accident was reported between two vehicles at Hill Rental Properties on S Main Street. The fire department, law enforcement and EMS responded. One individual was taken to Gritman Medical Center with unknown injuries.
5:38 p.m. Civil Calls: A caller reported individuals at Taj Grocery not wearing masks. The owner stated their cashiers did not need to wear masks. Officers responded and no report was filed.
7:32 p.m. Pandemic/Epidemic/Outbreak: A caller reported a group of people going in and out of a building on E Seventh Street without wearing face masks. Officers responded and no report was filed.
7:33 p.m. Accident Hit and Run: An individual called to report someone had backed into their vehicle on Farm Road and left. Officers responded, information was exchanged and no report was filed.
9:19 p.m. Pandemic/Epidemic/Outbreak: A caller reported a private party on N Main Street. The party was reported to have more than 40 people not wearing masks present. Officers responded and no report was filed.
Saturday Aug. 15
1:44 a.m. Theft Other: Three individuals were reported to have stolen a child’s bicycle on N Almon and W First Streets. The individuals were suspected to be drunk and headed down First Street towards Jackson Street. Officers responded and no report was filed.
11:05 a.m. Civil Calls: An individual called to report Varsity Diner had filled the restaurant and individuals were not social distancing. Officers responded and no report was filed.
2:35 p.m. Civil Calls: A caller reported a church gathering with no masks at the Church of Nazarene on E Seventh Street. Officers responded and no report was filed.
5:16 p.m. Burglary: A caller reported their garage on Hourglass Lane had been broken into within the past two days. The caller reported several items had been stolen, including firearms. Officers responded and a report was taken.
6:32 p.m. Civil Calls: An individual called to report a large gathering of people in East City Park. Some were reported to not be wearing face masks. Officers responded and no report was filed.
7:32 p.m. Fraud: A caller reported their employee had been scammed out of $700 at the Subway on Troy Road. Officers responded and a report was taken.
10:22 p.m. Suspicious Person: An individual was dropping their son off at law school and called to report someone walking around with a long black cape and a staff. Officers were advised and no report was filed.
Sunday Aug. 16
9:43 a.m. Harassment: A caller reported an individual was attempting to blackmail them over Facebook. Officers were advised and no report was filed.
6:32 p.m. Theft Other: An individual called to report their bike had been stolen during the day. The caller’s roommate stated they had last seen it earlier that morning. An officer responded and no report was filed.
9:43 p.m. Theft Other: A caller reported their medications had been stolen between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. that day. Officers responded and a report was taken.
