Community Calendar: produce sale, PCEI picnic and more

Mobile Food Pantry  

Time: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.  
Date: Wednesday  
Place: Student Recreation Center Parking Lot, University of Idaho  

The regular Vandal Food Pantry cabinets aren’t open due to COVID-19. Instead, the Mobile Food Pantry is operating as a curbside pickup service. Bags pre-packaged with fresh food and nonperishable items are given to those who attend based on the size of their family. All are welcome.   

Soil Stewards Produce Sale  

Time: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.  
Date: Thursday  
Place: Soil Stewards Student Farm, 425 Farm Road 

Student interns and volunteers will sell fresh seasonal produce grown on their farm. The sale will have varied produce available each week. Updates regarding the sale can be found on the Soil Stewards Student Farm Facebook page. Social distancing and masks are required at the sale.     

Picnic at PCEI  

Time: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  
Date: Friday  
Place: Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute, 1040 Rodeo Drive 

This picnic at PCEI will feature food from Humble Burger and beer from Hunga Dunga Brewing Company. Live music will be provided by Cooper Trail. This picnic is limited to 60 people and pre-ordering is required. There are a variety of meal options and drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, available for purchase on the PCEI website.  

Participants can visit the site any time between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and can eat on site or take their meals home. Social distancing and masks will be required on site.

Moose Enrollment Dinner  

Time: 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.  
Date: Friday  
Place: Moscow Moose Lodge, 210 N Main Street  

The Moose Lodge is hosting an enrollment ceremony this Friday followed by a dinner. Visit their Facebook event page for more information.
