We rounded up locations community members can get tested for COVID-19 in Moscow and the surrounding area.

If you know of any other local COVID-19 resources, please email us at [email protected]

In Moscow

Gritman Medical Center

Type: drive-through PCR and antibody testing site
Hours: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday

Those who want to be tested need a physician’s order, photo ID and insurance information, although insurance is not necessary to be tested. Once at the site, those being tested must remain in their vehicles. More information can be found on the Gritman Medical Center website.

Latah Community Health

Type: drive-through testing site
Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. the third and last Wednesdays of each month

Community members are eligible to be tested through Latah Community Health if they display COVID-19 symptoms, including fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting and diarrhea. Those who have had close contact with a person known to be COVID-19 positive are also eligible to be tested. To arrange testing, call the clinic to determine eligibility.

American Red Cross Blood Drives

Type: antibody testing service
Hours: varies by site

Those donating blood can be tested for COVID-19 antibodies during the donation process. This test type does not diagnose current COVID-19 cases. To find a donation site, enter 83843 into the “Find a Drive” tool on the Red Cross website. Donors must wear a mask and practice social distancing while at a blood drive or donation center. Staff will check donors’ temperatures prior to entering the building. To receive results, donors can log in to their Blood Donor account seven to 10 days after donating.

Outside of Moscow

Pullman Regional Hospital

Type: active COVID-19 testing site
Hours: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday

Those with an order from a healthcare provider can be tested at the back of PRH near the Emergency Department entrance. The test is free to those without health insurance. If an insurance company does not cover the cost of the test, the patient’s fee will be covered.

Whitman Hospital and Medical Clinics

Type: drive-through active COVID-19 testing site
Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Sunday, by appointment only

To be tested for COVID-19 at WHMC, community members must call 509-397-5717 to speak to a nurse regarding their concerns. If the nurse recommends testing, an appointment will be scheduled and further instructions will be provided.
