Things to do in Moscow this week in person and online

Fun is in the air on the Palouse this week with new events to attend, online and in-person. Put on your masks and cozy up for ice cream socials, movies, markets and more. Here are things to do on the Palouse this week.  

Virtual Ice Cream Social 

Time: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. 
Date: Wednesday 
Place: Virtual event 
Price: Free 

Grab some ice cream or a sweet treat and connect with others for an online ice cream social. Connect over zoom by emailing [email protected] for the link.

Screen on the Green 

Time: 8:45 p.m. 
Date: Thursday 
Place: Theophilus Tower Lawn 
Price: Free 

Enjoy a film with friends from a safe distance on the tower lawn this week. Bring blankets, snacks and masks from home and enjoy a great film. This week, “Field of Dreams” will be showing. Attendees must wear masks and stay a safe distance of six feet away from other groups. Those at the event can sit where they want, as long as social distancing is maintained.   

Bossa at Bucer’s 

Time: 8 p.m. 
Date: Friday 
Place: Bucer’s coffee house pub 
Price: Free 

Listen to music, eat great food and savor a drink Friday evening. Carinhoso, a Moscow-based band, will be playing Latin American favorites to set the mood. Take a seat, grab a drink and relax.  

Outdoor Art Market 

Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. 
Date: Saturday 
Place: Artisans at the Dahmen Barn 
Price: Various purchasing prices 

Support local artists this week at an outdoor art market. There is plenty of room outside the barn to distance booths. In the market, artists will be selling pottery, leather work, sculptures and, jewelry, while music plays in the background. Remember to bring a mask and stay socially distanced, especially when interacting with booths.   

Rock Painting  

Time: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. 
Date: Saturday 
Place: St. Mary’s Catholic church 
Price: Free  

Come paint rocks in the parking lot of St. Mary’s Catholic Church to add hidden treasures around the city or use as home decor. Organizers will provide supplies and tables, which will be socially distanced from each other. Sign up and reserve a time slot ahead of time by emailing [email protected].
