Prichard Painting Camp

This Monday begins a week-long art camp for children aged six to 12. Artist Jennifer Rod will teach participants about drawing techniques and more. Classes are limited to nine students and all materials will be provided. Questions about the art class can be directed to [email protected].
Panel Discussion: Peace Corps for Introverts
Time: 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

This Tuesday, Pearce Corps volunteers who identify as introverts will be speaking about their experiences. In the panel, volunteers will discuss their challenges and reflect on the rewarding and inspirational moments they’ve had during their time in the Peace Corps. Registration is required beforehand for this online discussion.
Mobile Food Pantry
Time: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Date: Wednesday
Place: Student Recreation Center Parking Lot, University of Idaho
The regular Vandal Food Pantry cabinets aren’t open due to COVID-19. Instead, the Mobile Food Pantry is operating as a curbside pickup service. Bags pre-packaged with fresh food and nonperishable items are given to those who attend based on the size of their family. All are welcome.
Transgender 101
Time: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Place: Online
As part of UI’s Safe Zone program, the next Transgender 101 training is this Thursday. This training provides an overview of transgender identities as well as tips and practices for creating an inclusive campus for transgender and gender non-conforming people. Registration is required for this training.
Soil Stewards Produce Sale
Time: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Date: Thursday
Place: Soil Stewards Student Farm, 425 Farm Road
Student interns and volunteers will sell fresh seasonal produce grown on their farm. The sale will have varied produce available each week. Updates regarding the sale can be found on the Soil Stewards Student Farm Facebook page. Social distancing and masks are required at the sale.
Plastic Film Collection
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Date: Saturday
Place: Moscow Recycling Center, 401 N Jackson Street
On the first Thursday of every month, the Moscow Recycling Center will offer a plastic film collection event. Anyone can recycle old plastic film throughout the day. The next collection day is Sept. 5.
