Monday, July 6

7:31 a.m. Suspicious Person/Circumstance: A caller found shoes and a bra in a trash can at the Moscow Cemetery. He found gym shorts not far away. An officer responded and no report was taken.

10:22 a.m. Malicious Mischief: A caller reported his tire was slashed at Rosauer’s the day before. Officers responded and a report was taken.

11:35 a.m. Animal Problem/Complaint: A cougar was spotted near Granville Street. The caller advised it was moving slowly and was much larger than a domestic cat. Officers responded to the area and no report was taken.

11:43 a.m. Civil Calls: Multiple customers inside and just outside the doors of WalMart were not wearing face coverings, a caller advised. No report was taken.

12:17 p.m. Stray Animals: An old dog was seen walking around in the roadway near N Mountain View Road and E Public Avenue. An officer responded and no report was taken.

Tuesday, July 7

5:12 a.m. Suspicious Person/Circumstance: A reporting party saw his neighbor’s door on N Garfield Street wide open. The reporting party saw marks on the door which made it appear it was opened in a forced entry. An officer attempted to contact the reporting party and no report was taken.

12:30 p.m. Accident Hit and Run: An officer responded to a hit and run on Troy Road. One woman was arrested and a report was taken.

Wednesday, July 8

1:40 p.m. Animal Problem/Complaint: A complaint came in of a person yelling at and striking their dog on N Almon Street. The person hit the dog once and may have kicked it. An officer responded and a report was taken.

2:11 p.m. Civil Calls: Several people were reported as not wearing face coverings at Red Bento. The reporting party believed all of the people worked for Red Bento in some capacity. An officer responded and no report was taken.

7:34 p.m. Other Law Enforcement Calls: A caller reported he believes three people in a Motel 6 room have COVID-19 and are walking around the premises without masks regardless. Officers responded and no report was taken.

8:46 p.m. Theft Other: A bow was reported as stolen out of the back of a man’s pickup truck while he was parked at Safeway about an hour prior. An officer responded and a report was taken.

Thursday, July 9

4:50 a.m. Theft of Automobile: A vehicle was reported as stolen from S Harrison Street. Officers responded and a report was taken.

10:11 a.m. Animal Problem/Complaint: A caller sold a dog to some people and is now worried about the animal’s well-being. An officer contacted the reporting party and no report was taken.

10:56 a.m. Other Law Enforcement Calls: A person walked into the Moscow Police Department lobby to report a COVID-19 violation on N Main Street. An officer responded and no report was taken.

1:06 p.m. Utility Problem: A truck clipped a communications line on Hillcrest Drive. The caller confirmed it was not a live wire and grabbed it. An officer responded and no report was taken.

4:24 p.m. Civil Calls: A reporting party heard an employee at a business on W Pullman Road tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. The reporting party was worried the business had not been cleaned. An officer advised and no report was taken.

7:10 p.m. Other Law Enforcement Calls: The reporting party’s husband, who works at Palouse Juice, went into work around noon and noticed the owner and another employee were not wearing masks. An officer advised and no report was taken.

8:33 p.m. Theft Other: A couple beach towels were stolen from Brent Drive and the reporting party would like them back. Officers responded and no report was taken.
