July 11, 1985
An estimated $10,000 worth of damage was done to UI’s golf course. The damage was found on three of the greens and was repaired after a day of work.
July 6, 1994
All students, faculty and staff at UI received new Vandal Cards in 1994. Prior to that, photos of the cardholders were laminated onto the cards. The new cards had photos printed directly on the cards for the first time.
July 10, 1996
Transferring to a different college is fairly common. This article states starting fall 1996, core classes at all Idaho universities would have the same course number as one another. This decision was made in order to ease the transfer of credits between Idaho universities.

In last week’s look back, we featured an article about Life Sciences South catching fire. Smoke alarms were turned off in the building due to concerns from sawdust from construction causing false alarms. This article outlines the plan for cleanup after the fire.
