Welcome to July. Though we are already moving past the main social event of the month, the Fourth of July, there are other events nearby to interact with the community. Here are some things to get out of the house and socialize with those around.
Pullman Farmers Market
Time: 3:30 p.m.
Date: Wednesday
Place: Brelsford WSU Visitor Center
Price: Free
A short drive from Moscow to Pullman will give shoppers the satisfaction of browsing homegrown produce and other homemade items. The market has requested guests follow these rules: no more than 10 patrons, are allowed at a time on the lawn, no food may be consumed on site no sampling items, maintain social distancing of at least six feet between vendors and patrons, wear a mask and send one person to the shops when possible.
SRP Virtual Performance: Extreme Science with Radical Rick
Time: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Date: Thursday
Place: Online event
Price: Free
Kids and older science lovers are invited to summer reading’s next virtual event. Streaming from the Latah County Library’s Facebook page, attendees can watch Radical Rick from the comfort of their homes. Tune in for his performance, where he will be doing experiments from behind the screen.
Screen on the Green: “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil”
Time: 8:45 p.m.
Date: Thursday
Place: Theophilus Tower Lawn
Price: Free
A classic University of Idaho event is back on the Theophilus Tower Lawn this Thursday. Bring blankets, snacks and face masks from home and enjoy a great film. Friends and families of all ages are welcome. Facial coverings and social distancing from the groups are required. This week, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will be showing.
The Bedspins at John’s Alley
Time: 10 p.m.
Date: Friday
Place: John’s Alley
Price: Free
Headbangers and other music lovers will enjoy this event. Come down to John’s Alley Friday night to enjoy live rock and roll from a local band, the Bedspins. They will be playing classic tunes from the 1950s through the 1990s.
Moscow Farmers Market
Time: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Date: Saturday
Place: Main Street
Price: Free
For those not able to make it to Pullman or interested in a different selection, the Moscow Farmers Market will be open later in the week. Walk down to Main Street at the beginning of the day to take a look at what vendors have for sale. Shoppers must wear a face mask and keep six feet apart from others.
