Virtual and in person events in Moscow this week

Plans for Returning to Campus Fall 2020  

UI Dean of Students Blaine Eckles and Interim Provost and Executive Vice President Torrey Lawrence are holding a Facebook live event to give updates on what the fall semester will look like at UI. They will be discussing the actions the university is taking to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and promote social distancing on campus in the fall.

Appaloosa Museum & Heritage Center: Live Exhibit

  • Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11:30-2 pm. Saturday  
  • Date: Tuesday through Thursday, Saturday  
  • Place: Appaloosa Museum & Heritage Center  

Dusty the horse is coming to the Appaloosa Museum. Anyone can visit during the museum’s regular hours. Patrons are asked to not give treats to Dusty when they visit.  

Vandal Food Pantry Curbside Pickup

  • Time: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. 
  • Date: Wednesday  
  • Place: Pitman Center Alley, between Pitman Center and Greek Row 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Vandal Food Pantry cabinets aren’t open for beneficiaries to pick from. However, the program is operating with curbside pickup instead. Bags are pre-packaged and given to those who attend based on the family size. 

Moscow Drive-In Featuring “Charlie’s Angels” (2019)

  • Time: 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.  
  • Date: Saturday 
  • Place: Kibbie Dome gravel parking lot 

The next Moscow Drive-In at the Kibbie Dome Parking lot is this Saturday. Gates open two hours prior to the film. The event is limited to about 200 cars and patrons must stay in their cars or truck beds unless they are using the bathroom.
