The University of Idaho’s on-campus Einstein Bros Bagels will reopen June 15, according to a press release from Vandals Dining. Along with its reopening, an online food ordering app, Grubhub, will be implemented for customers to pick up their food.
“Grubhub will offer expedited pickup service from Einsteins during the summer and expand to most campus retail locations in the fall,” the press release stated.
Einsteins will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, until the end of the UI summer session. Vandals Dining’s other options, including Qdoba and Chick-fil-A, are not reopening just yet.
Bryanna Muscella, Vandals Dining marketing specialist, said Qdoba is hoping to reopen on Aug. 10 and Chick-fil-A on Aug. 17. She added Mein Bowl and The Grid will reopen with the start of the fall semester, though this is subject to change.
“In the wake of COVID-19, it is imperative we not only keep our guests’ safety top of mind, but provide enhanced and expedient service. Grubhub is a wonderful outlet for this initiative and as a team, we are excited to offer superior service to our guests,” Retail Operations Manager Ryan Robinson said.
All first time Grubhub orders before Aug. 31 will receive $2 off with the promotional code “IDAHO.”
