Former University of Idaho President Chuck Staben is one of three final candidates for interim president at the University of Toledo (UT), according to The Blade.
UT will now move forward with interviewing all three candidates, including Staben.
Staben, currently a biology professor at UI, was also a finalist for the president position at University of North Dakota last September.
He later did not receive the position, according to past Argonaut reporting.
According The Blade, UT is facing financial hardships because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The current president, Sharon Gaber, will be leaving UT for a new job at the University of North Carolina on July 1. Gaber’s current salary is $515,000.
The University of Toledo’s next meeting regarding their presidential search is June 22.
