Incoming! Fresh hot events coming to a community near you at the start of this summer. Get out or stay in and enjoy what Moscow has to offer. In person and online events are available to meet people at the levels they are comfortable with during the pandemic. Isolated or not, there are ways to still have fun in Moscow.

Movie Flash Sale: Apes, Aliens and Predator

  • Time: 12 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. 
  • Date: Friday to Sunday  
  • Place: Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre 
  • Price: $2 to $20 

In March, Main Street Video Cooperative closed, leaving approximately 30,000 films transferred to the Kenworthy. This weekend, the Kenworthy will open its doors to those who want to give those films a home. Videos will be sold $2 each with a $20 purchase. Films are time stamped and sold first come first serve, so be sure not to wait. For more information, visit the Kenworthy’s website.

Moscow Drive-In

  • Time: 8 p.m. 
  • Date: Saturday 
  • Place: ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center 
  • Price: Free 

Enjoy a movie from the comfort of your car and stay isolated while having fun. For the next month, University of Idaho, the City of Moscow and Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre will be hosting a drive-in movie every Saturday. Space is limited to 140 cars, so be sure to get there quick. This week, get ready to watch a sports comedy/drama. “A League of Their Own” will be showing, featuring Tom Hanks and lots of action on the court.  

Tuesday Community Market

  • Time: 4-7 p.m. 
  • Date: Tuesday 
  • Place: Latah County Fair and Event Center  
  • Price: Free 

Support local vendors this Tuesday and browse the market. From June to October, the Tuesday Community Market will open its doors to those who want to see what the community offers. There will be local bands and vendors selling plants, produce, crafts, food and more.  

Virtual Vandal Social Cooking Class with Ampersand

  • Time: 5-6:30 p.m. 
  • Date: Wednesday 
  • Place: Online Event 
  • Price: $55 

Learn your way around Hispanic cuisine during a walk-through cooking class. Keely Garrity, a Vandal alumnus, will be showing how to make Mexican chopped salad, street corn salsa, fajitas and churro cake. Register on eventbrite to save a spot and get the list of ingredients.

Summer Reading 2020 Handout Day

  • Time: 4-6 p.m. 
  • Date: Friday  
  • Place: Palouse Library  
  • Price: Free 

Library Bev is handing out summer readings, goodie bags and all kinds of things for ages pre-K to fifth grade. Teen and adult reading sheets are available for older book lovers. Anyone who shows up will get a tasty treat, so make sure not to miss out.
