It’s the end of May and it feels like the month has gone by fast. Soon, we will be halfway through 2020 but it doesn’t feel real. Savor the end of this month by joining events in the area. Here are things to do in the Palouse this week.

Moscow Drive-In

  • Time: 8 p.m.
  • Date: Saturday
  • Place: ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center parking lot
  • Price: Free

Come and enjoy a 2000’s classic at the Moscow Drive-In this week. The University of Idaho Vandal Entertainment, the City of Moscow and Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre will be hosting a drive-in movie every Saturday for the next month. Space is limited to 200 cars, so be sure to get there quick. Mean Girls, a teenage comedy well known for its hilarious comebacks, will be showing this week. The lot will open at 6 p.m. due to last week’s high volume.

Jake Hanchey Live Last Show in Moscow

  • Time: 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
  • Date: Saturday
  • Place: Bucer’s Coffeehouse Pub
  • Price: Free

Jake Hanchey is performing his last live show at Bucer’s and it is a show not to miss. Admission is free, so find a comfortable spot at the coffeehouse, grab a drink and enjoy. Hanchey will be playing his acoustic alternative Reggae/Folk/Blues music.


Online Ballet Classes by Blush

  • Time: 4 p.m.
  • Date: Monday and Wednesday
  • Place: Online Event
  • Price: $15 per class

This event is perfect for dance-seeking individuals who want to get a move on. Do something outside of your comfort zone this week and take a ballet class. The class will be over Zoom and can be done in your living room. Visit Rachel Dodson’s website to learn more about classes and register before the event. There are single class tickets and bundles for those interested in taking more than one class.

Enjoy another music event this week at Bucer’s and jam out to multiple artists. Spotswood Abbey will perform covers by Stevie Wonder, Allen Stone, James Taylor, Glenn Campbell and more. For those who enjoy old time music, get ready to be transported to the past at this event.
