There are no cases of COVID-19 in Boundary County, Katherine Hoyer Panhandle Health District’s public information and communication officer, said.
The Department of Health and Welfare reported a case in Boundary on Sunday, though the case has now been removed.
The Kootenai Valley Times, which first broke the news, reported that the New York Times COVID-19 tracking page was also confirming a case.
It is still unclear where this information came from and this is not the first inconsistency on the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s case tracking page.
Hoyer said when a person has confirmed case of COVID-19 the address they put down might not be their permanent places of residence which could impact how a county is confirmed, until further investigation.
